Let's look at how this software was
developed.
00:09
My co-founder Merlin Thabe and I decided to
create a B2B marketplace towards the end of
2016. Eurowings learned about one of the
early versions and invited Merlin for an
interview. During this interview, all of the
terms and connections were summarized in a
mind map. We chose agile project management
in order to proceed as rapidly as possible
into the testing stage.
00:38
In order to develop independently, we needed
to gain access to the Eurowings servers in
the first phase.
00:45
Following that, we integrated the master
data into our marketplace and specified all
roles, view rights, and change rights, as
well as substitute rules.
00:57
There are different responsibilities, view
rights, and modified privileges assigned to
each employee. This means that purchasers,
controllers, simple users, and administrators
all have separate views and change rights.
01:12
The approval processes were then programmed,
and the catalogs were uploaded.
01:18
"inorder" went online in beta form after an
initial test phase with a few users and bug
fixes. And the system was accessible to all
Eurowings customers.
01:30
The interface to the EAP was then
programmed, and inorder was introduced to the
world of Eurowings systems.
01:38
So, how can we encourage creativity in your
organization?
We tailor our service or product to the
user's preferences, not the other way around.
01:48
To put it another way, we ask ourselves,
"Who is the user, and what problems do they
have?" We look for comparable difficulties
outside of our own industry.
01:58
And we never follow in the footsteps of
others.
02:00
Because the results would be pretty similar.
02:04
Our strategy involves combining the problem
with a solution from a different industry.
02:10
During the journey, the implementation
strategy and roadmap will develop.
02:15
Another issue was brought to our attention
during discussions with buyers.
02:19
Many purchasing departments still manually
match purchase confirmations against system
data. So we went to these firms and hunted
similar difficulties outside of our own
field, and we discovered it right next door
in the accounting department.
02:34
They use typeface recognition to compare the
system data to the incoming bills.
02:39
As a result of our strategy, we were able to
identify a solution.
