Dr Wazir is a resident doctor at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in the United Kingdom and an Education Associate with the General Medical Council. He graduated with an MD from the University of Balamand in Lebanon and holds a master’s degree in Medical Education from Swansea University. With nearly a decade of involvement in medical education, he is currently involved in clinical practice, research, and education.
Dr Wazir completed a research fellowship at the Department of Emergency Medicine at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He previously held a leadership position in a global NGO setting with the IFMSA, where he focused on advocacy and capacity-building projects, including collaborations with the WHO on public health initiatives.
As a Medical Education Consultant at Lecturio, Dr Wazir advises on integrating the platform into educational models to enhance teaching and learning experiences. He works with the Learning Science team on faculty development, including delivering educational webinars, creating resources, and designing workshops. As research lead, he coordinates educational research projects with stakeholders and healthcare education institutions, focusing on digital learning and advancing healthcare education.
