Any Questions?
Your experienced MD tutor will help you identify your current study goals and also develop a plan for you to reach them. Here’s how:
- Goal identification: evaluate your current state, identify your goals, and then set up a strategic way to help you achieve success
- Study assessment: identify your strengths and weaknesses in medical concepts
- Personalized plan: offer materials and resources according to your desired goals, while also learning new techniques to maximize your study effectiveness
- Ongoing support: your tutor will check in with you frequently to ensure you are on track, serving as a source of support and guidance as you navigate through your studies.
Yes, that is correct, and the platform also facilitates this aspect, making our hybrid approach more effective than traditional tutoring methods.
The initial assessment is 50 questions, focusing on the concepts usually tested at the USMLE Step 1 exam.
There is no need to prepare for the initial assessment; it’s just a snapshot of where you are in your studies right now. Your Personal Tutor will work with you to design a study program that addresses your weaknesses and helps bridge your knowledge gaps, accelerating you towards academic success.
Each tutoring session lasts up to 30 minutes, in an online video meeting (Google Meet). During this time, the tutor and you will reflect on your goals, discuss problems, and adjust assignments for the next week. Take advantage of up to 4 personal 1:1 tutoring sessions per month.
We understand that plans can change! If you need to reschedule a 1:1 tutoring session, you can do so easily by accessing the same calendly link, up to 24 hours before the meeting time.
We hope you won’t miss any of your live sessions, but know that unexpected events can happen. You may reschedule your session up to 24 hours before the meeting time. If, however, you do not change your session within this time period, it will be counted as your session for that week.
You may contact Lecturio support or can contact your Personal Tutor who will refer you to the support team.
The Lecturio Personal Tutoring program utilizes a designated log-in URL so that your Personal Tutor can review your learning progress and provide assignments. These assignments will be visible in the program’s study planner, while your learning progress will be saved on Lecturio’s servers, across all URLs. Read more about our privacy policy here.

We understand how a knowledgeable and experienced tutor makes all the difference in your academic success! That’s why we’ve carefully selected top candidates for the tutoring positions, ensuring that you receive the best possible support. All of our tutors have passed the USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 exams, and are either in their final year of medical school or have already graduated. In addition to their medical education expertise, our tutors are extensively trained on the latest developments in Learning Science.
We understand that medical school can be challenging, and tutoring takes time to show results. That’s why we recommend dedicating at least 3 months to the Personal Tutoring program. During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to build a strong relationship with your Personal Tutor, implement your personalized study plan, and start seeing results.
We are proud to report that the Medical Personal Tutor program has had a significantly positive impact on student performance, including boosting confidence in the classroom and on exams. Additionally, students who participated in our program answered more Qbank questions correctly at the end of their three months, than before their time with their tutor.
