The UKMPPD is a two-part test
The Medical Profession Program Student Competency Test or Uji Kompetensi Mahasiswa Program Profesi Dokter (UKMPPD) is a test of medical knowledge and skill. All indonesian medical students need to pass it in order to be able to practice medicine in Indonesia.
- Medical knowledge is assessed by a computer-based-test with 150 multiple-choice questions which have to be answered within 200 minutes.
- The MCQ CBT includes questions on basic science, clinical science, and patient management. The passing score is 66 or above.
- Medical skills and attitude is measured by OSCE (Objective structured clinical examination) which is carried out on a roleplay-based basis between the student as a general practitioner and a patient, a simulation mannequin, or a combination of both.
- Each OSCE participant is tested through 12 stations with 12 different topics, the time given is 15 minutes at each station.
