What is NCLEX-RN Practice Week?

NCLEX-RN Practice Week offers a targeted, 50-question practice exam that spans one hour. While the actual NCLEX-RN exam comprises over 85 questions, our Practice Week serves as an excellent opportunity for students to assess their knowledge and preparedness. Upon completion, participants receive immediate results, including their score, a comparison with peers, and an estimated probability of passing the actual exam. Moreover, Lecturio provides personalized study recommendations to address any identified knowledge gaps, ensuring students can focus on areas needing the most attention.

Results Overview

NPW 2024 marked a significant step forward in supporting nursing students, with new features like partial scoring and effective promotional strategies, including involvement with the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). During NPW, 1,988 students registered to participate.

Performance and Outcome

14% of registrants took the practice exam. Notably, 43% of NPW registrants are scheduled to take their exam in over six months. Nursing students often register for NPW without the immediate urge to take the practice exam, impacting overall participation rates.

The average score among practice exam takers was 44%, placing participants between low and borderline exam readiness on our newly introduced partial scoring results page.

Diverse Participation and Motivations

Our demographic spread included 55% of participants from the US and 43% from other parts of the globe, highlighting our diverse and international user base.

Participants discovered NPW through various channels: Google (23%), Lecturio live events (18%), YouTube (14%), and Facebook (11%). Their primary motivations included checking their exam readiness (25%), gaining more exposure to NGN-style questions (22%), preparing for the NCLEX (19%), and experiencing an NCLEX-like test environment (18%).

Moving Forward

The NPW has laid a strong foundation for future enhancements, supporting nursing students worldwide. With continued efforts to improve our offerings and promotional strategies, we aim to increase participation and help more students achieve their goal of becoming licensed nurses.
