Becky Oglesby’s career started as an elementary school teacher after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She started a private school that had a combination of 1st & 2nd grades. Several years later, she began her nursing path as a Nursing Assistant, obtaining an Associates in Nursing from Mitchell Community College, and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Specialty areas that she worked in are Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Observation, with Orthopedic. After earning a Masters in Nursing Education from Gardner-Webb University, she began teaching BSN students at Queens University of Charlotte.

Her love of teaching and the NCLEX led her to become a Nurse Consultant for Kaplan Nursing, in which she assisted nursing schools/faculty to implement the program, and to motivate her to earn a Doctorate in Nursing Education from Gardner-Webb. Early in 2022, Dr. Oglesby joined Lecturio as the Senior Content Editor, managing all nursing content areas and a team of writers and reviewers. With a current focus on Next Generation NCLEX, her team is involved in all things that encompass the pre-licensure exam for nursing students.
