The DAS program Internal Medicine I focuses on the fundamental organ systems that constitute the cornerstone of internal medicine practice. Students will develop a thorough understanding of the underlying disease processes, diagnosis, and treatment approaches for disorders of the cardiovascular, respiratory, hematological, nephrological, and gastrointestinal systems. Clinical vignettes will help to solidify and apply the concepts.
This program constitutes the first part of our Internal Medicine series, laying the groundwork for Internal Medicine II, which will explore endocrinology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and other vital systems. By the end of this course, you’ll have developed a solid foundation in recognizing, diagnosing, and managing diseases of these core organ systems.
